COTABATO CITY – The Department of Agrarian Reform- Provincial Office (DARPO) Maguindanao successfully conducts the Municipal Agrarian Reform Officers (MAROs) and Development Facilitators (DFs) Orientation on New Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARB)/Tiller Validation Profiling Form, Workshop for 2017 Action Plan and Orientation on Strategic Performance Management Systems on March 1-3, 2017 at Las Hermanas Restaurant, Cotabato City.
The three-day activity was facilitated by the Operations Division Team and participated by nineteen (19) Municipal Agrarian Reform Officers with their respective Development Facilitators, DARPO-Maguindanao Officials and Personnel, and Irene M. Dillo of Development Consultant Inc. (DEVCON).
DEVCON is the research institution commissioned by the Department of Agrarian Reform- Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao (DAR-ARMM) tasked to hasten the data gathering using the new ARB/Tiller Validation and Profiling Form. Its objective is to know the current economic and social condition as well as land tenure and socio-economic issues in the ARBs and actual tillers in the twenty-five (25) Agrarian Reform Communities (ARCs) of Maguindanao Province.
Among the objectives of the activity is to orient the MAROs and DFs with the said form. “ We are tasked to produce a clean data and the valuable support of the MAROs and DFs is needed for the success of the profiling.” Dillo said.
In addition, the activity aims to conduct a strategic-planning workshop for the MAROs and DFs to formulate action plan with calendar of activities.
The presentations were followed by positive critiquing headed by PARPO I/OIC PARPO II Tommy M. Biruar, CE and the Division Chiefs of the DARPO namely: CARPO for Operations Annuarudin U. Tayuan, CARPO for BDCD Bai Shaharazad S. Lidasan, Acting Provincial Chief Administrative Officer Camar D. Saumay, Chief of Legal Division Atty. Madid M. Mama.
Highlighted also in the activity is the 2017 Work and Financial Plan presented by Acting Planning Officer Bai Alamina M. Andong. CARPO Tayuan gave the updates on LAD Targets, Projections. Work Balances for 2012-2016 and other LTI issues and concerns. Technical Advisory Support Services was imparted by CARPO Lidasan to align with the Work and Financial Plan of the DARPO accomplishment. GAD Focal Person Bai Sarena B. Baraguir explained the activities on support for the Gender and Development (GAD) like Training on Rural Women and Literacy, Training on Islamic Microfinance.
Regional Human Resource Management Officer II Mohammad Gaber Halud gave updates on the Strategic Performance and Management Systems (SPMS). He highlighted the significance of the Performance Monitoring Team (PMT) and the importance of making attainable OPCR, DPCR and IPCR.
OIC PARPO II Tommy M. Biruar, CE expressed his full gratitude for the collective efforts made by the DARPO-Maguindanao employees for the success of the activity.
