Partner agencies join agri-enterprise development consultative forum in LDS

COTABATO CITY – In an effort to upgrade and increase the income of the Modern Farmers’ Multipurpose Cooperative (MFMPC) of the Agrarian Reform Community of Ganassi, Lanao del Sur, the Department of Agrarian Reform of this province, conducted the ARCP II Agri – Enterprise Development Multi-stakeholders Consultative Forum. Representatives from DAR central office, regional DOST and DA and the MFMPC officers discussed issues and concerns in the value adding project for the MFMPC turmeric products at DARPO Lanao del Sur on February 22, 2017.

Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II, Engr. Mesug P. Unda, stressed that their main objective is to improve the quality of the turmeric product to gain more customers and to have partner agencies aboard in showcasing the turmeric tea and powder product.

Likewise, Dr. Corazon C. Panganiban, DAR National Community Development Drive Specialist, reminded everyone in order for things to be successful, it has to be done collaboratively. “DAR can’t make it alone, so we thank you also for your continuous support and concern in raising the lives of our partner farmers and beneficiaries,” she remarked.

The MFMPC turmeric products are manufactured in ARC Ganassi, Lanao del Sur and available in selected stores in and even outside the province of Lanao del Sur. (Johaniah N. Yusoph, DAR Information Officer, Lanao del Sur)
